1939 Sunday Dinner At Steamer Restaurant


1939 people from Delmar drove to Pocomoke for the Sunday drive and dinner, where the old Claiborne-Annapolis ferry the "Gov Emerson C. Harrington" had been pulled in next to the Bridge and made into a hotel, nightclub and restaurant.  When the ferry was retired from service C. K. Duncan of Pocomoke purchased it in 1938.   It last a few years as a restaurant until being scrapped.
