Clarence Smith
From The Peninsular Enterprise 12 December 1908
Mr. Clarence Smith, sawyer at the mill of Mr. Isaac B. Clarke, near Accomac C. H., was struck in the stomach by a board thrown from saw on Thursday last and sustained injuries which caused his death about an hour later. He was a worthy and industrious man, native of Delmar and about 28 years old. He leaves a wife and two small children.

Blades Delaware Is Offically 100 years old today
Blades, founded in part by James Blades about 1850 was charted as a community in 1910 and in 1915 was incorporated. Initially known as Bladesville the name was changed about 1929 to just Blades.
