Mattie Cannon was the wife of William H. Cannon, a barber in Delmar. Before her marriage in 1905 she was Mattie Marie Hudson (1885-1969), the daughter of Thomas Henry and Julia Beauchamp Hudson. William and Mattie would have a one daughter, Aline Elizabeth. Aline would marry D. C. Culver. Mattie would divorce William in 1931 on grounds of him being a habitual drunk. She would remarry in 1934 to B. Charles Williams. He would die in 1941 and Mattie would die at age 84 in 1969.
