In 1952 Gladys and Lew Llewellyn took over the management of one of the many diner/tourist courts on Old Rt13. They lasted until 1953 when Lew would go to work for the State of Maryland. Gladys continued as a teacher in Wicomico County.
Milton Edward "Lew" Llewellyn (1907-1990) was born in Newport News, Va. Prior to his management of the diner he was an Insurance agent/salesman in Salisbury with Sun Life of Canada.
Gladys Huber Llewellyn (1911-1988) was born in West Virginia . She would spent 48 years as an elementary school teacher mostly in Salisbury.
