Fourth of July at Delmar
DELMAR, Del. May 23. - At a Joint meeting of the town
councils of the Delaware and Maryland sides of Delmar, it was decided to ask
the people to arrange a Fourth of July celebration. The proceeds of the
celebration will be used to purchase a hose cart for the 700 feet of new hose
received this week by the fire department. In the event that the receipts from
the celebration exceed what Is needed for the purpose of purchasing the hose
cart, the remainder will be turned over to the department for the purchase of
such accessories as It may need.
