The Misty Disaster Fund
In 1962 from March 5th thru the 9th a big storm hit Delmarva. Called the Ash Wednesday storm it tore up the coastal towns of Ocean City and Chincoteague. One of the relief activities was 20th Century Fox released the film "Misty" to theaters free of charge. At the Boulevard theater in Salisbury they had Marguerite Henry (author of the book "Misty" ) speak and ask for donations.
